Veterans Resource Committee: This committee will collaborate with our surrounding partners to expand and provide resources for our veterans. Our campaign aims to ensure that veterans are connected, understand the available support, and receive resources that will truly benefit them.
Inclusion Council: A council of Hobart residents heavily involved in working with the city to improve our community ensures that ADA compliance and other important matters for all residents are not overlooked. They diligently seek areas for improvement.
Brick Road Education Center: Navigating City Hall can be challenging. We will be launching an online educational portal for residents, business owners, and prospective residents, providing a place where they can easily access answers to many of their questions. This online platform will serve as a valuable resource for all things related to Hobart.
Mayors Youth Council: This council will be comprised of students in our community who meet with city staff on a quarterly basis to offer insights into our city from a youth perspective. These students will actively contribute to shaping the future of our city.
Downtown Business Committee: Our Downtown Business Committee will comprise downtown businesses that directly influence our community’s downtown area. They will serve as the driving force behind all the positive changes in our downtown. These businesses have invested in our community and deserve a seat at the table when downtown-related matters are discussed. This partnership will also enable the city to collaborate with businesses and support any initiatives they deem appropriate.
Neighborhood Speed Reduction Program: This program will collaborate with local neighborhoods to tackle the issue of speeding within their communities. We will assist them in identifying suitable locations for speed bumps and implementing other measures to reduce speeding in neighborhoods.
Westend Revitalization Coalition: This coalition will include residents from the west end, business owners, council members, landlords, and the mayor. We will collaborate to develop solutions and investments aimed at revitalizing the west end. As it serves as a gateway to our community, our collective efforts will aim to improve the quality of life for those who reside in the west end.
Natural Areas Council: This Council comprises individuals from the community, the park director, a park board member, the mayor, and business owners. Together, they will explore ways to enhance our natural environment and promote the revitalization of Lake George as a premier recreational destination within our city.
Sidewalk Replacement Program: I will implement a program in which 10% of the city’s exaction fees from developments will be allocated to a fund for the replacement of sidewalks throughout the city.
Technology: I will look for ways to incorporate the use of technology to streamline city operations creating a better experience for our constituents. Such as online building permits.
